Manly hunting

Spent Saturday walking everywhere in Manly, calling every ad in the paper, and generally hitting the rental market hard. Pretty little ground gained since it was a holiday weekend, and most calls went unanswered. Had a few denials based on the "couple factor" (in "shared accommodation" places) and the "dog factor". The dog factor is going to prove to be the most challenging issue. I can identify as a landlord, but am peeved about it as a renter. I guess it about cancels out? Our newer tactic to try is wait until we meet the people and form a favorable impression before bringing up the dog thing. Might mean a lot more running around, but also might be more likely to succeed.

We rested out tired feets in a nice beachside pub, and watched some rugby on the tele. Or was it Aussie rules? Not so clear on that distinction yet, both look brutal and make US football look wimpy.
